01 Getting Started
Uploading a Wordpress theme is very easy, it doesn’t require you to be a techie, its a simple uploading process like if you have uploaded sometime and e-mail attachment. First prepare your theme folder, unzip it if the folder is zipped, and if the themes uses any plugins separate the plugins folder, because you have to upload plugins and themes in its appropriate directory.
02 Uploading the Theme and Plugins
Ok now if you have bought hosting from our recommended Web Host JustHost.com than uploading the theme process will be as easy as eating an apple. You could upload a theme via FTP in cPanel. Upload your theme’s folder to “wp-conetent/themes” and if your theme uses any plugins they must be uploaded inside “wp-content/plugins”.
03 Activating Plugins
Once you finish uploading the theme now you need to login to the wordpress admin area and there click on Plugins, now you will see your uploaded plugins, we recommend you activate all the require plugins first if the theme uses any plugins.
04 Activating the Theme
Nicw! now if you have uploaded the theme and its plugins to the correct directory so activating your new theme is click away.
1. Login in to the Wordpress Administration Panel.
2. Select the Appearance Panel, than click on Themes.
3. Now you will see your theme here. click on the theme title (or theme screenshot) in order to activate it.
4. A preview of the theme will be also shown if you wish to preview it first but than click the Activate “Theme Name” link on the top right. Its that simple!
05 Check it Out. Its Live now!
You’re done! the theme you activated should immediately become active. To check it live simply click on “visit site” link in your Wordpress admin panel header, or view it directly by typing your domain name in the browser.
