What to Expect from WordCamp Kathmandu 2023?

Besides, here’s what you can expect from a two-day-long WordCamp Kathmandu event.  

Day 1: Contributor Day 

This year, the first day (8th September) of WordCamp Kathmandu is the contributor day. It’s a special day aimed at giving back to the WordPress community.  

On this day, contributors can learn about how they can actively contribute to the improvement and growth of WordPress.  

Further, they can share the knowledge with other attendees who are eager to learn.  

Contrarily, enthusiastic learners can also benefit from this day. It’s because they’ll have the chance to acquire valuable knowledge and information about WordPress. 

Thus, this day involves sharing and learning sessions on WordPress, thereby providing an enriching experience for all the participants.

Day 2: Main Event/Conference Day

Share of Experience of a Few WordCamp Kathmandu 2022 Attendees from ThemeGrill 

The two-day event at WordCamp 2022 was an unforgettable experience. Especially, I really enjoyed the talk by Alina Kakshapati where she discussed the valid reasons for hiring a mother. She also talked about encouraging them to apply for the job they’re always looking for.  

Besides the talk, another favorite part of the event was collecting the swags. There were various booths offering t-shirts, cups, stickers, pens, etc., for FREE! 

In between, I also had the opportunity to talk with CEOs of WordPress companies where they shared the current situation of WordPress and the benefits of using them. 

As an attendee, I also contributed to translating WordPress into Nepali language and creating various patterns. I even earned a badge for it. 

So, attending WordCamp would be extremely valuable for us in terms of growth, exposure, and opportunities. I highly recommended everyone connected with WordPress to attend the WordCamp events

Well, the first and obvious reason is giving back to WordPress and the community.

It’s almost been a decade since ThemeGrill started. From the beginning till now, it has always been only WordPress for us. WordPress has given a lot to us, and we are simply giving it back.  

The second reason would be the networking that it provides. 

For a WordPress product company, networking with the right person or company is pivotal to taking products to the next level. Meeting in person, getting to know each other, and later exchanging emails, chats, or calls to collaborate has more success rate than simply trying to collaborate without meeting in person.
