8 Best Business Card Printing Services Compared in 2022

Searching for 🔎 the best business card printing services to get some custom cards printed?

Whether you just need some personal business cards or you’re searching for a solution for your company, there are tons of quality online printing services that you can use.

In this post, we’ve collected our picks for the eight best business card printing services.

Quick summary: The best business card printing services in 2022

Here’s a quick summary of the prices and details for each service. To make it easier to compare the prices between services, we used a standard order configuration for each service:

  • 250 cards
  • Double-sided printing
  • The cheapest card material (basic matte cards in most cases)
Service Starting price for 250 cards with double-sided printing Minimum order Quick summary
VistaPrint 35 100 cards Tons of different materials and shapes
Jukebox 55 250 cards Top-notch print quality
Staples 14.99 250 cards Option for same-day pickup at Staples stores
Elite Flyers 30 100 cards Solid quality and excellent bulk prices for bigger jobs
PsPrint 23.7 50 cards Low prices with adequate, but mediocre, quality
Expresta (ExpressPrint) €30.70 (~$30.43) No minimum Based in Europe with fast European delivery
Canva 35 50 cards Powerful design tool and templates
Zazzle $64.87* 100 Huge number of pre-built templates (300,000+)

* Zazzle’s business cards only come in packs of 100, so there’s no bulk pricing discount and you can’t actually purchase exactly 250 cards. Zazzle does regularly offer discounts, though.

The best business card printing services compared in more detail

Now, let’s dig into each service in more detail:

  1. VistaPrint
  2. Jukebox
  3. Staples
  4. Elite Flyers
  5. PsPrint
  6. Expresta
  7. Canva
  8. Zazzle

1. VistaPrint

VistaPrint

VistaPrint is one of the most popular business card providers and regularly tops lists of the best business card printing services.

One of its standout features is a ton of options for choosing the material of your business cards. You have tons of options to help you create business cards that stand out from the crowd:

  • Shapes – rounded corners, square, etc.
  • Finishes – embossed gloss, foil accent, etc.
  • Textures – soft touch, linen, ultra thick, etc.
  • Eco-friendly material – kraft paper, hemp-blend, bamboo, etc.
  • Specialty materials – plastic cards, magnetic cards, etc.

If you want your card to not just look unique but also feel unique, these extra options can be really helpful.

To control the design of your cards, VistaPrint offers pre-built templates and the option to upload your existing design or work directly with a professional design service via video chat.

In terms of price, VistaPrint isn’t the absolute cheapest option, but its prices are on the lower end of things.

For standard cards, VistaPrint starts at $18 for 100 cards for single-sided printing. Other materials will obviously cost more. For example, bamboo cards start at $33 for 100 cards.

2. Jukebox

Jukebox is one of the best business card printing services for print quality

When it comes to print quality, Jukebox is one of the top options on this list. Cards from Jukebox are consistent, have sharp colors and lines, and have very readable text with no blurring.

Beyond printing quality, Jukebox offers a wide selection of card types to choose from. However, Jukebox only offers paper cards – there are no options for plastic or magnetic like you get with VistaPrint.

Here’s a sampling of some of the card types from Jukebox:

  • Matte
  • Bamboo
  • Semi gloss or super gloss
  • Spot UV (specifically placed shiny coating)
  • Silk matte
  • Cannabis (we assume this is hemp)
  • Kraft
  • Recycled pulp

The baseline cards also have quite a nice feel, with a solid weight that doesn’t feel cheap.

They shouldn’t feel cheap, though, because Jukebox isn’t cheap! The tradeoff for its high-quality printing service is that Jukebox is one of the pricier options on this list. Even for the cheapest card type (matte), you’ll pay $55 for 250 cards ($0.22 per card).

However, you can bring the per-card price down a lot by buying in higher volumes. For example, 500 cards cost just $75, which drops the per-card price down to $0.15.

You can also save money by only printing on one side of the card – all of the prices above are for printing on both sides (which Jukebox enables by default).

3. Staples

Staples is one of the best business card printing services for cheap prices

If you’re located in the USA, you’re probably familiar with Staples, the big box office supply store.

However, Staples has also gotten into the online game with its own business card printing service.

The most unique thing about business card printing from Staples is that Staples leverages its brick-and-mortar business to give you the option of same-day pickup at any Staples location.

So if you absolutely need your business cards today (and you’re in the USA), Staples is one of the best options to consider. If you order online on the website before 2PM, you can pick them up later that day.

Of course, you also have the option to have the business cards shipped to your door if you’re not in any rush and you’d like to save yourself a trip to the store.

In total, Staples offers four different business card types, which is a little more limited than some other options on this list:

  • Traditional business cards
  • Raised print business cards
  • Executive business cards
  • Ultra thick business cards

Prices for the traditional business cards start at $14.99 for 250 cards, which is the cheapest on this list.

Given its low prices, you shouldn’t expect the same quality that you’d get from a pricier service like Jukebox. However, if you hand out a lot of business cards and don’t need them to be fancy, that might be just fine for you.

4. Elite Flyers

Elite Flyers

Elite Flyers is one of the best business card printing services in terms of price-to-value ratio. It’s not the cheapest service, and it doesn’t have the absolute best quality – but when you consider the quality that you get for the price, it’s a pretty good deal.

You can choose from a variety of different paper card types, including matte, linen, silk, kraft, and velvet.

Elite Flyers has also introduced some unique options such as glitter gloss, foil stamping, and even cool 3D lenticular business cards.

The cheapest option would be a short-run standard card at $25 for 100 cards, but you’ll get much better prices if you opt for a higher quantity. For example, 1,000 cards costs just $50, so you’re paying twice the price for 10X the number of cards.

One downside, though, is that Elite Flyers’ website is pretty dated and the process of uploading your design (or customizing one of the templates) isn’t as user-friendly as other services.

5. PsPrint

PsPrint

Though it’s not quite as cheap as Staples, PsPrint can be another good option for cheap business card printing.

The default print job size is 250 cards for an affordable $23.70 (for an eight-day production time – faster runs cost more). You can do smaller runs (as little as 50 cards), but we don’t recommend it because you lose a lot of the price savings. There’s a reason that PsPrint sets its default to 250.

However, PsPrint’s print quality doesn’t stand up to a service like Jukebox, so you will be making some sacrifices in exchange for those savings. The website also feels a bit dated, though it’s functional enough.

In terms of material options, you don’t get a ton of options, but the list should be adequate for most. Here are some examples:

PsPrint also offers foldable cards or die-cut shapes if you want to create something a little more unique.

6. Expresta (formerly ExpressPrint)

Expresta is one of the best business card printing services for people in Europe

Expresta, formerly known as ExpressPrint, is one of the best business card printing services in Europe, so it can make a great option if you’re in Europe and you don’t want to deal with the hassle of intercontinental shipping.

If you need your cards fast, Expresta can deliver them within 72 hours in Europe.

Expresta also doesn’t have any minimum order quantity – you can enter any custom quantity in the box and Expresta will give you a price. However, it’s obviously not very cost-effective to just order five cards, even though you can if you want to.

In terms of quality, Expresta offers clear lines and very readable text. However, the colors can be a little pale, so it might not be a bright option if you want to create a design with vibrant colors.

Expresta has few templates and a very basic editor, though, so we recommend having your own design ready to go rather than relying on Expresta’s tools.

You do get a wide variety of materials, though, ranging from basic matte paper to glossy vinyl and even magnetic foil.

If you want to try it out, Expresta has a pricing calculator that will let you easily see the price based on your chosen paper, printing, and quantity.

7. Canva

Canva

Canva is probably best known for its online graphic design tool, which we covered in our Canva review.

However, Canva has now gotten into the business card printing game which, when you pair it with Canva’s design tool, makes it a pretty powerful tool for creating your own custom business card designs.

Overall, Canva is a great option if you don’t already have a business card design. You can design it in Canva and then order printed business cards right away. This can be especially handy if you’re creating multiple designs because Canva has tools to help you quickly adjust your designs.

Canva also has tons of pre-made templates that you can use – so don’t worry if you’re not a professional designer.

That’s really the key distinction:

Canva is a design tool that added a business card printing service, whereas most other services are printing services that added basic design tools (or don’t even offer their own design tools).

However, you only get a few different options for paper types and finishes:

  • Standard
  • Premium
  • Matte
  • Gloss
  • Uncoated

The printed colors can also be a bit pale – a service like Jukebox offers better print quality, if that’s what you’re after.

Canva’s prices start at $14 for 50 cards, though you’ll get better prices on bulk orders.

8. Zazzle

Zazzle

Zazzle is one of the most popular print-on-demand services. It lets you create or upload your own design to print on pretty much anything, business cards included.

Unlike most other business card printing services, Zazzle doesn’t offer bulk discounts. Instead, it only prints business cards in packs of 100, which makes sense given its print-on-demand nature.

You can create your own design by using the editor tool or uploading an existing design. However, where Zazzle really excels is that you can choose from 300,000+ pre-built templates created by the Zazzle community.

Either way, the website is pretty to use and Zazzle is one of the better services when it comes to user experience.

You can choose from a variety of different paper types, though Zazzle doesn’t offer non-paper cards:

  • Matte
  • Semi-gloss
  • Cream
  • Silk
  • Linen
  • Pearl
  • Kraft

Zazzle’s business cards start at a flat $25.95 per pack of 100. However, Zazzle regularly runs 25% discounts, so you can normally knock that down to ~$20 per 100, which is more competitive.

Overall, the only real reason to choose Zazzle over other business card printing services is Zazzle’s big template library.

Which is the best business card printing service for you?

Choosing between the best business card printing services will really depend on your budget, the type of card you want to print, the quality you expect, and how quickly you need to get the cards.

If you want the overall 🖨️ best printing quality, we recommend Jukebox as it has clear, consistent printing with sharp lines and very readable text. The tradeoff, though, is that Jukebox is on the pricier end.

If you want to create business cards that 🦋 look and feel unique, you might prefer VistaPrint because it offers cool options such as magnetic or plastic cards, along with lots of different paper options.

If you need your cards 🔥 urgently, Staples could be the best service because of its same-day pickup option (though only if you live near a physical Staples store in the USA). Staples is also one of the cheapest business card printing services, so it can be a good option for those on a budget, too. Just be aware that you get what you pay for when it comes to print quality.

Or, if you’re 🌍 in Europe, Expresta offers one of the fastest delivery options.

All of the other business card printing services also have something to offer, though, so we encourage you to check out the full list.
